Sunlight twinkles and plays hide and seek among eucalyptus trees as you pull out of the rush of Bangalore’s Bannerghatta Road. The temperature drops and moisture colours the air as the road opens up into solace and tranquillity. Glaring glass facades fall away, and NH87 begins in earnest. Tucked away in a little nest amongst trees that remind you of an older Bangalore, is the Camphill India Bangalore chapter.
We are a group of 24 friends in two houses, living with 6 Indian co-workers, and 8 young volunteers. Our residential campus also includes a bakery, a workshop, and several gardens. We grow our own produce, bake our own bread, and make small-scale products for sale.
